New Delhi: Argentina captain   has proved that age is just a number in the ongoing  . The legendary midfielder appears to have no days off, even on his 39th birthday on Wednesday, as he was spotted putting in an intense workout session at the gym.

Messi turned 39 on June 24, marking a new chapter of his illustrious career, still performing at the highest level of world football. Instead of having a big celebration, Messi remained focused on the ongoing tournament, undergoing a full-intensity training routine. Messi posted the gym video on his official Instagram handle, where he can be seen doing weight-training drills and core-strength work.

 

 

Messi shines as Argentina qualify for Round of 32

Argentina have qualified for the round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Their last group stage game will be against Jordan, which will be played in Texas on June 28. Messi netted a brace against Austria to become the highest goal-scorer in tournament history, helping Argentina to register a 2-0 win.
