In Bengaluru, a woman, fed up with the daily beatings, stabbed her drunken husband to death. The deceased has been identified as Murugesh (50). The police have arrested the accused wife Lakshmi.
BengaluruBommanahalli Police has arrested the wife for stabbing her husband who harassed him after getting drunk. The deceased has been identified as Murugesh (50), resident of Hongasandra, Begur main road. Officials said that wife Lakshmi has been arrested in connection with this crime. Murugesh and Lakshmi, residents of Bhadravati taluk of Shivamogga district, were living in the city for about 15 years. The couple has three daughters, who are married and live separately. The husband and wife worked as daily wage labourers. Murugesh was very addicted to alcohol and he used to come home drunk every day and beat his wife.
Wife stabbed husband with knife
Late on Tuesday night, he came home after drinking heavily and started creating ruckus, then assaulted his wife. Angered by this, Lakshmi stabbed Murugesh in the stomach and chest with a knife. Due to this, a lot of blood was lost. Hearing the sound of the fight, the people in the neighborhood immediately admitted him to a nearby hospital. But, after investigation the doctors declared him dead.

On receiving this information, the police reached the spot, investigated and registered the case. At first Lakshmi made up the story that she had stabbed herself. But when the police interrogated him in their own way, he confessed to the murder. Now the police have arrested Lakshmi and further investigation is going on. A case has been registered at Bommanahalli police station.
