Madhya Pradesh: A horrifying incident took place outside Shahgarh Community Health Center (CHC) in Sagar district on Wednesday. A staff nurse on duty was shot dead by miscreants. This incident has created an atmosphere of deep shock and fear among local health workers and residents. The deceased has been identified as Deepshikha Chadhar, a resident of Patan in Jabalpur district.

Giving information about the incident, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Mamta Tiwari said that the deceased Deepshikha lived near the health center along with two other nurses. On Wednesday, when she was crossing the road near the hospital premises, an unknown miscreant suddenly opened fire. Deepshikha died on the spot as soon as the bullet hit her.
Killer absconding, investigation intensified
The killer fled from the spot after committing the crime near the hospital gate. The real reason for the incident is not yet known. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and secured the area. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
Investigation of CCTV footage continues
Police are closely examining the CCTV footage of the hospital and surrounding areas to identify the attacker. The investigating officers are interrogating eyewitnesses and local residents. Senior police officers have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
