A case of assault with students came to light below the office of the Minister of State for Energy in Meerut. Those close to the minister got the students to rub their nose on the road, the police remained silent. The main accused was arrested after the video went viral.
A shocking incident has come to light from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, which has raised serious questions on law and order. It is being told that four college students, who were having dinner in a hotel located below the office of the Minister of State for Energy, became victims of insult when some youths claiming to be close to the Minister, beat them up and made them rub their noses on the road.
Dispute over removal of vehicle, bullying started again
According to the information, this incident happened near Tejgarhi intersection of Medical Police Station area. Four youths were having dinner in a hotel below the office of Minister of State for Energy Dr. Somendra Tomar. During this time, he had an altercation with some other youths regarding removing the vehicle. It is being told that as the altercation escalated, the other party, claiming to be close to the minister, started threatening and assaulting the students.

Police were present at the spot during the incident, but despite their presence, the accused rubbed noses and abused the students on the road. This scene is clearly visible in the viral video on social media. Now questions are being raised on the inaction of the police. People say that if the police had intervened in time then such insult to the students would not have happened.
SP City gave clarification, accused arrested
In this matter, Meerut SP City Ayush Vikram said that in the viral video, an altercation is seen between two parties. According to the information, there was a dispute between the two parties regarding parking of the vehicle, after which one party resorted to indecency. Taking action in this case, the police have detained the main accused and a case has been registered.
