Honor is all set to expand its offerings within the Chinese market with the launch of the new Win series lineup, and the Honor Power 2 as well, as one of the prominent smartphones set to make a mark during the launch event.
Being labeled as the successor to the Honor Power smartphone series, this upcoming smartphone is expected to retain the same identity of having a large battery but continue to diversify it as well.
A Bigger Battery
The battery in the forthcoming Honor Power 2 smartphone has been anticipated to offer a massive 10,000mAh output. This would undoubtedly break all records with respect to battery storage in smartphones because the battery storage in the previous variant was 8,000mAh. Currently, there are no officially confirmed details about the charging speed of the smartphone. But reports have confirmed that it would offer 80W fast charging, not including wireless charging support.
Rumours On Visual Identity
Leaked information suggests that the Honor Power 2 could come with a design resembling the iPhone 17 Pro line from the rear. This was evidenced by a leaked picture from Weibo depicting the device in a cosmos-inspired orange finish and a triple camera setup. Abhishek Yadav, a tipster, reacted to the lookalike design on X by saying, “Lol, the Honor Power 2, which was spotted on Geekbench with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, looks like a copy of the iPhone 17 Pro series from the rear.”
Expected Details of the Hardware and Display
The smartphone is rumoured to be driven by the forthcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, as evident from the Geekbench listing. So, in combination with this power source, the rumoured features of the Honor Power 2 include a 6.79-inch Flat OLED LTPS screen with 1.5K display resolution. On the image processing front, another rumoured feature includes a 50MP primary camera and a 16MP front camera.
Software, Variants, And Availability
It is likely to boot with a MagicOS 10, on an Android 16 system, and could come in colour variants such as snow white, midnight black, and sunrise orange. According to current rumours, it is likely to be available in the Chinese market in January 2026, though there are no confirmations on its availability in the Indian market or elsewhere.
