Honda Elevate Facelift: Major Exterior Design Changes

First off, let’s talk about the biggest change on the new Elevate facelift, which will be its updated exterior design. This time around, Honda has given the Elevate a revised fascia with a new grille and horizontal, segmented LED DRLs integrated into the upper section of the front. The Honda logo has also been moved from the grille to the edge of the bonnet, which gives it a more premium appearance.

It will also get a new chrome element which will be positioned above the grille. The SUV is also expected to get a new grey exterior shade. Apart from these, Honda has carried forward some of the existing elements, which include the main LED headlamps and eyebrow-style DRLs. The 17-inch alloy wheels also appear similar to the outgoing model.

Although the design could receive some changes, overall, the silhouette of the Elevate will remain familiar as this is a facelift and not a new-generation model. However, the new front-end treatment will give the SUV a noticeably different appearance.

Connected LED Light Bar At The Rear

Honda is also expected to make changes to the rear of the Elevate. Earlier teasers have already shown a connected LED light bar, which will be one of the most noticeable changes at the back. The rear bumper and other styling elements could also be revised. Meanwhile, the alloy wheel design is expected to get some changes.

360-Degree Camera Is A New Feature Addition

So far, Honda was offering the lane watch camera feature in the Elevate. However, one of the most important feature additions on the new Elevate will be a 360-degree camera. Honda has already shown the camera setup in its teasers. Additionally, it will also be getting a camera-based IRVM as well.

The exact variant-wise availability of the 360-degree camera and camera-based IRVM will be announced today. The Elevate is also expected to continue offering Honda’s camera-based safety and driver assistance technology, including its Level 2 ADAS package.

New Honda Elevate Gets A More Premium Interior

The cabin will also be getting a significant makeover this time around. Honda has already shown parts of the updated interior. We have seen that it will be getting a lighter colour theme compared to the current tan cabin. The dashboard will also get white leatherette padding and additional stitching. Amber-coloured ambient lighting has been added to the dashboard and door panels.

The seats are also expected to get a new design along with refreshed trim elements. Honda could also add several features that are currently missing from the Elevate’s factory-fitted equipment. These could include ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable front passenger seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof. A larger or updated 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also expected.

Same 1.5-Litre Petrol Engine

The new Honda Elevate will continue with the existing 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine produces around 121 bhp and 145 Nm, and no major mechanical changes are expected with this facelift.

Honda is also not expected to introduce a turbo-petrol engine. There had been speculation about the strong-hybrid powertrain from the Honda City making its way to the Elevate. But the facelift is not expected to get this powertrain either.

Same Manual And CVT Gearbox Options

The gearbox options will also remain unchanged. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will continue to be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox and a 7-step CVT automatic transmission. The CVT version will continue to get paddle shifters. There is no indication of Honda introducing a new automatic gearbox with this update.
