Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has become more affordable this festive season, after the government reduced GST on two-wheelers from 28% to 18%.
Honda has announced that it will pass on the full benefits to customers across its portfolio of scooters and motorcycles up to 350cc.
This means Honda lovers can now save up to Rs 18,887, depending on the model they choose. Like, the popular Activa 110 gets up to Rs 7,874 off, while the CB350 range tops the chart with nearly Rs 19,000 in savings.
Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales & Marketing, HMSI, said, “We welcome the Indian government’s recent GST reform. This strategic initiative will not only improve personal mobility, but also boost the economic growth. The reduction in GST on two-wheelers and spare parts is a timely and forward-looking step, making vehicles more affordable and strengthening the overall ecosystem. HMSI is fully committed to passing on the benefit to our customers. With the festive season approaching, this move will help us reach a wider audience in both urban and rural markets.”
Two-wheelers are the lifeline of mobility in India and Honda is one of the favourite brands amongst Indian two wheeler buyers. With fuel prices high, affordable scooters and motorcycles have become more important. This GST cut not only helps customers but also benefits dealers, suppliers, and local businesses who are connected to the auto industry.
