How to make mozzarella cheese?

  • First, heat milk in a large pan. You just need to know the right temperature.
  • Heat the milk until it reaches 46 degrees Celsius. For this you can use a digital cooking thermometer.
  • If you don’t have a thermometer, simply heat the milk until your finger can handle the heat for a few seconds.
  • When the milk reaches this temperature, add vinegar to it. Then stir it with a spoon so that the water separates.
  • After this, cover the milk and cook for at least 10 or 15 minutes. Then turn off the gas.
  • Separate the milk from the water and squeeze out the excess moisture, but it is not completely ready yet, as it is still grainy at this point.
  • Now you have to keep a pan on the stove and add some salt along with cheese in it. Then cook it on medium flame while stirring continuously. You have to cook the paneer until it becomes soft and stretchy. This process will take you 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Now shape it into a ball with your hands and then immerse it in ice water for some time. This way, your fresh mozzarella cheese will be ready.

How to store cheese?

To prevent mozzarella cheese from spoiling and keeping it fresh for a long time, it is important to keep it moist and cool. For this, you can dip mozzarella cheese in water and keep it in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator. You can also put it in a zip-lock bag and keep it in the freezer. Due to this it will not spoil for a long time.
