The Yogi government will celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti with great pomp in the whole of Uttar Pradesh on 7 October. All temples and religious places will have events like Ramayana recitation, cultural programs and Deepdan. Major events will be held in Lalapur Chitrakoot.
The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti with great pomp in the entire state on 7 October. On this occasion, Ramayana recitation, bhajan-kirtan, lamp lighting, cultural programs and lamps will be organized at all Dev temples and religious places associated with Maharishi Valmiki. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the Department of Culture to give special importance to the presence and public participation of public representatives in the program.
Lalapur Chitrakoot will have a large and grand event
The program will be launched by garlanding the statue of Shri Valmiki at 11 am in Lalapur, Chitrakoot, Taposthali of Maharishi Valmiki. After this, there will be Ramayana recitation, worship-havan, bhajan and spiritual cultural performances by Virat Maharaj and children studying in Sanskrit. On this occasion, there will be extensive public participation with local public representatives.
Apart from this, cultural and religious programs will also be organized in many parts of the state including Tulsidas Ashram Rajapur Chitrakoot, Valmiki Ashram Bithoor (Kanpur), Valmiki Ashram Shravasti, Ayodhya, Prayagraj.

Yogi Sarkar direction: Program and concrete system at every level
According to the instructions of the Yogi government, this program will be organized at district, tehsil and development block level. The Chief Minister has also asked to make extensive arrangements to ensure cleanliness, drinking water, sound, light and security. The outline of the programs has been prepared by the committees constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Information Public Relations Department, District Tourism and Culture Council and local artists have also been selected.
Local artists will get spiritual platform
The Yogi government will provide a spiritual platform to the local artists in the programs of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, which will promote their talent. This effort is considered very important to enrich the cultural heritage of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is giving special emphasis on the participation of public representatives and active consent of the common man in this event, so that this festival can be celebrated as a collective festival at every level.
