In such a situation, the auspicious time for applying Tilak today will be from 05:03 in the morning to 03:03 in the evening. During this entire time, sisters can apply tilak to their brothers.
Tilak method for Bhai Dooj
- Before doing Tilak on the day of Bhai Dooj, prepare a clean puja thali. Then light a lamp in it.
- Make a tilak by mixing saffron, red sandalwood and Ganges water and keep it in a silver or brass bowl.
- Before doing Tilak, offer this bowl at the feet of Lord Vishnu.
- Chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Narayanay’ 27 times. Then first apply Tilak to Lord Ganesha and Vishnu.
