According to religious texts, Holika Dahan is done after sunset on the full moon date of Phalgun month. This situation is being created on Monday, March 2. Therefore, it would be best to perform Holika Dahan on this day. Those places where there is a tradition of performing Holika Dahan in the evening, they will perform Holika Dahan on the next day i.e. Tuesday, March 3. Both these days are suitable for Holika Dahan. After Holika Dahan, there is now confusion regarding Holi festival (Dhuredi). According to tradition, Holi festival is celebrated on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month. This date is March 4, Wednesday. But those who will perform Holika Dahan on Monday, March 2, can celebrate Holi on the next day i.e. March 3. Those who burn Holika on March 3 will celebrate this festival on March 4. This time there is a coincidence of lunar eclipse on Holi festival. The special thing is that this lunar eclipse will be visible in India, due to which all its rules like Sutak etc. will be valid here. This lunar eclipse will start from 03:20 pm on March 3, which will be visible till 06:47 pm. That means the total time of this lunar eclipse will be 3 hours 27 minutes. In India, this lunar eclipse will be visible only for the last 20 minutes.
