Holashtak 2026: The festival of Holi is considered very sacred. There is not much time left for Holi festival. On the day of Holi, people apply colors and gulal to each other. The first eight days of Holi are also considered very special in Hindu tradition. These are known as Holashtak. According to beliefs, negative energy in the environment increases during the days of Holashtak.

In such a situation, one should avoid doing any new auspicious work during this period. This year the inauspicious days of Holashtak are starting from 24th February. It is said in the scriptures that if some important work is not done before Holashtak, then negativity and Vaastu defects can increase in the house.
