New Delhi: India failed to get off the mark in the Super 4 stage of the ongoing Hockey Men’s Asia Cup 2025 as they played out a 2-2 draw against South Korea in their opener on Wednesday. A late goal from Mandeep Singh in the fourth quarter helped India snatch a draw after trailing for most of the second half of the encounter at Rajgir in Bihar.
The draw also marked an end to India’s winning streak in the tournament. India headed into the clash against South Korea with three wins in their three group-stage matches, however, they failed to secure a victory on Wednesday. It was a disappointing performance from the hosts, who failed to make the most of their chances and made costly defensive errors to settle for just a point after the draw.
