A historic free trade agreement was signed between India and Oman. During PM Modi’s recent visit to Oman, a historic free trade agreement was signed between India and Oman, which was named CEPA i.e. Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. This FTA is very much according to India and is a very good agreement. Due to which Indian companies and individuals will get good opportunities to work in Oman. This agreement will increase India’s exports and the biggest thing is that Oman has made 98% of India’s goods duty free i.e. zero tariff and India has made 77% duty free i.e. zero tariff for Oman. Overall, this FTA is considered to be a very good agreement according to India. Experts are seeing the possibility of increasing India-Oman trade at a very rapid pace through this FTA. Foreign affairs expert Abhishek Khare told that India already has very good relations with Oman. Now after this agreement, many great things will be seen.
