Historic agreement between Isha Ambani and the royal family of Qatar, opening a new path for world-class education for Indian children.

Isha Ambani and Qatar Museum Chairperson Sheikha Al Mayassa

Recently, an agreement has been signed between Reliance Industries and Qatar Museum, which can bring major changes in the way of school education and learning of children in India. In a special meeting held in Doha, Reliance Industries Director Isha Ambani and Qatar Museums Chairperson Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani signed a five-year strategic agreement.

What is ‘Museum-in-Residence’?

Often we see that education has become just about books and cramming, but this partnership aims to change this thinking. NMACC and Qatar Museums will jointly launch “Museum-in-Residence” program in both India and Qatar. If understood in simple language, now the museum will not just become a place for viewing but will also become a means of learning.

Under this initiative, experts from Qatar’s famous ‘DADU’ (Children’s Museum of Qatar) will come to India and present concepts like “Light Atelier” for children. This will be a unique experience for children aged 3 to 7 years where they will be able to understand the intricacies of science and art while playing. Its purpose is to motivate children to learn by doing instead of memorizing.

This campaign will reach not only the city but also the village Anganwadis.

The most special thing about this agreement is that it will not be limited only to expensive schools in Mumbai or big cities. With the help of Reliance Foundation, there is a plan to take this program to rural and remote areas of India.

These world class technologies will also be used in Anganwadis and community centres. Its direct benefit will be to those children who are often deprived of modern facilities. Also, this initiative is not just for children, but is equally important for teachers as well. Qatar Museum experts will teach Indian teachers and volunteers new tools and new methods of teaching, so that they can better guide children in the classroom.

Isha Ambani’s vision is so big

During this agreement held at the National Museum in Doha, Isha Ambani emphasized that culture is the place where imagination begins. He said that the objective of NMACC is to bring the world’s best ideas to India and present India’s rich heritage to the world.

This partnership is part of the same vision, where instead of making education a burden, it will be made a means to make dreams come true. Sheikha Al Mayassa, while calling it a legacy of the “Year of Culture”, said that this initiative will help in making children self-confident and sensitive. The agreement also aligns with the goals of Qatar’s “National Vision 2030”, which prioritizes investment in human development. This joint effort of both the institutions can write a new chapter in the field of Early Childhood Learning in India in the coming five years.
