Himachal Pradesh’s talented daughter, Ashita Acharya, has once again proved that if the target is clear and hard work is continuous, then any place can be achieved. Sita, who hails from Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra district, has won the name of the state across the country by receiving the President’s highest scouting honor of the country. She is the only student to win the award from Himachal this year.
This honor was awarded to Sita at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. After receiving the award, he was specially honored by District Deputy Director Higher Education Development Mahajan on behalf of the Education Department. His parents were also present on the occasion, whose pride and happiness were clearly visible in their eyes.
Scouting from 2013, traveling up to the President’s Award in 2024
Sharing her success story, Ashita said that she was associated with scouting in 2013. In 2016, she received the Governor Award at the state level, and then continued to work hard keeping her goal in mind. According to him, the dream that was done is fulfilled today. Currently, Ashita is doing an internship in a non -governmental organization and wants to contribute to social service by doing PhD in future.
Only 120 students selected out of 2000 from across the country
Giving information, Deputy Director Vikas Mahajan said that every year about 2000 students from across the country apply for the President’s Scout Guide Award, out of which only 120 students are selected. Selection is in four categories scouts, guides, ranger and rover. Among the 30 students selected from all over the country in the guide category, Ashita is one, who has emerged as the pride of Himachal Pradesh.
Inspiration for daughters
This achievement of Sita has made it clear that active participation in scouting such as co -educational activities is not only helpful in personality development, but it also teaches students important lives like leadership, service, discipline and confidence. Inspired by this honor, now other daughters of Himachal Pradesh will also be encouraged to move forward in scouting and social work.
