State Bureau, Shimla: There is no possibility of relief from heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh till July 31. Monsoon will remain more active during this period.
According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre Shimla, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur during the next few hours. Due to this, the possibility of landslides and storms has been expressed at some places.
The rain has been continuing since Thursday morning. Due to continuous rains and landslides in the state, the traffic system is affected, about 100 roads are closed for traffic.
Advisory For Tourists
The State Disaster Management has advised citizens and tourists to stay away from rivers, streams, ravines and landslide-prone areas and to travel only when absolutely necessary.
Landslides have occurred at several locations across the state, including Shimla. This has affected traffic movement. River water levels have risen, and water is being released continuously from dams.
No Change In Temperature
There has been no significant change in the minimum temperature amid the continuous rainfall, with a difference of less than one degree. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was 56.2 mm at Shri Nayanadevi in Bilaspur. Manali also recorded 35 mm, Rampur 30.3 mm, Sarahan 28.7 mm, Nahan 28 mm, and Rohru 20 mm.
