Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s hijab controversy has intensified political debate across the country. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that Nitish Kumar did nothing wrong and this is a new trend of linking everything with Islam. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti strongly opposed it, saying that India is a secular country and BJP leaders want to establish ‘Kaurav Raj’. He also told that his daughter Iltija Mufti reached the police station to lodge an FIR.
