HFCL’s Q2 Net Profit Soars Fivefold to ₹394 Crore, Revenue Up 144%

HFCL Limited, a prominent technology firm specializing in optical fiber, telecom equipment, and defense products, has announced a remarkable financial performance for the second quarter of FY27.

The company’s consolidated net profit surged over fivefold to ₹394.22 crore, a significant jump from ₹71.92 crore in the same period last year. This impressive growth is attributed to robust revenue generation and improved operational efficiency.

The company’s consolidated revenue also saw a substantial increase, rising by 143.62 percent year-on-year to ₹2,541.79 crore, up from ₹1,043.34 crore in Q2 FY26. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) climbed by 223.55 percent to ₹658 crore, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 25.89 percent.

Mahendra Nahata, HFCL’s Managing Director, highlighted this as the company’s best-ever quarterly performance, signaling a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory. HFCL anticipates at least 80 percent revenue growth in FY27, driven by increasing demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centers, and telecommunication networks. The company’s order book stands strong at over ₹28,900 crore, providing multi-year revenue visibility. Furthermore, HFCL plans to invest approximately ₹1,800 crore to expand its manufacturing capabilities for optical fiber, cables, and preforms. The defense and aerospace segment is also expected to be a significant growth driver, targeting approximately ₹500 crore in revenue for FY27. For the first half of FY27, net profit reached ₹639.86 crore, with revenue at ₹4,456.77 crore.
