Hero MotoCorp is starting deliveries of its Hero Xoom 160 in September. The scooter was first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and launched in January 2025 at a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
It has already been available for bookings for months and now it is ready for the deliveries as well.
This Scooter is designed for riders who want style and comfort in their rides. Its muscular bodywork, tall windscreen, and unique dual-chamber LED headlight make it a stunner on the road. Hero is also offering accessories like a taller windscreen and a touring box, which is perfect for long-distance riders.
This scooter is available in four colors, Matte Rainforest Grey, Summit White, Canyon Red, and Matte Volcanic Grey, the this 160cc scooter has the road presence of a true maxi-scooter. It measures 1983 mm in length, 772 mm in width, and offers a 787 mm seat height with a 155 mm ground clearance, making it practical for everyday commutes.
Packed with Modern Features
The Xoom 160 is loaded with technology and comfort features, including digital instrument panel with turn-by-turn navigation, LED lighting, Keyless start and remote seat unlock, ABS with disc brakes, 14-inch alloy wheels and comfortable suspension.
Performance and Efficiency
Under its seat, the scooter is packed with a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a CVT automatic transmission, it promises smooth rides in the city and enough power for highway stretches. It weighs 142 kg and has a fuel efficiency of around 40 km per liter, the Xoom 160 showcases a great balance between performance and practicality.
Taking on Rivals
The Hero Xoom 160 is a challenger to premium scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160 in the Indian two wheeler market, giving buyers a rugged yet feature-rich choice in this growing segment.
