Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has officially made its entry into France, marking the company’s 52nd international market.
The Indian two-wheeler giant has partnered with GD France for this launch, introducing its Euro 5+ range of motorcycles led by the all-new Hunk 440.
The brand’s French debut took place at the UTAC Mortefontaine proving ground near Paris, a renowned testing and validation facility with a rich automotive history dating back to 1956. With this entry, Hero MotoCorp aims to strengthen its foothold in Europe following successful debuts in Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Initially, Hero MotoCorp products will be sold and serviced through a network of over 30 dealerships managed by GD France. These outlets will cover major French cities, ensuring easy access to Hero’s latest offerings. The network will expand to 50+ dealers by 2026, with full nationwide coverage expected by 2028.
At the heart of this launch is the Hero Hunk 440, a motorcycle positioned in the popular A2 licence category. The Hunk 440 produces 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The bike comes with a high-tensile steel trellis frame.
Hero has also equipped the Hunk 440 with premium hardware to appeal to European riders. The bike features dual-channel ABS with 320mm front and 240mm rear discs, KYB USD cartridge forks, a full-digital connected TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, all-LED lighting, and wide 150/60 ZR17 radial tyres that add to its road presence. Priced at €3,599 (including VAT), it will be available in two colour options: Twilight Blue and Phantom Black.
