There was a lot of uproar between BJP and TMC in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of being anti -Bengal and corruption. BJP’s chief whip Shankar Ghosh was suspended and the marshals forcibly pulled out of the House.
West bengal assemble uproar: There was a lot of uproar in the West Bengal Assembly on Thursday. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the BJP. This intensified the uproar by the BJP MLAs. TMC MLAs also became furious. The case reached a scuffle. During this, BJP’s Chief Whip Dr. Shankar Ghosh was injured.
Tension increased due to suspending Dr. Shankar Ghosh
On the uproar, Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee suspended BJP MLA and party’s Chief Whip Dr. Shankar Ghosh from the House. Marshalas were called to force them out of the House. This increased stress. BJP MLAs came in front of Asan. Slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and disrupted the proceedings. The incident took place at a time when the Trinamool Congress -led government was trying to pass a resolution condemning the attacks on Bengali migrant workers in BJP -ruled states.
Mamta Banerjee said- BJP is anti-Bengal
CM Mamta Banerjee gave a speech amidst the uproar and slogans. He accused BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of being “anti -Bengal” and stopping the discussion on the oppression of Bengalis. Mamta said,
The BJP is a party of corrupt people. Vote is a party of thieves. The biggest dacoit is. We saw in Parliament how they used CISF to harass our MPs. Remove Bangla-anti-BJP, save the country.

One day not a single BJP MLA will sit in the house
Pointing to the opposition MLAs shouting slogans, Banerjee said, “Pay attention to my words, one day will come when not a single BJP MLA will sit in this house. The public will evict you from power. The government led by Modi and Amit Shah at the center will soon fall.”
The CM claimed that the BJP does not want to let the assembly discuss attacks on Bengali migrants. There are atrocities against Bengali migrants in BJP ruled states.
Shankar Ghosh was dragged out of the house by marshals
Shankar Ghosh was suspended for the whole day due to uproar in the assembly. When Ghosh refused to go out, the assembly marshars were called and dragged them out of the House. During this, Shankar Ghosh fainted. He was taken to the hospital.

On this, the Leader of Opposition in the Bengal Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari said that the government led by Mamta Banerjee has killed democracy. Outside the assembly, an official said to reporters, “The entire TMC cadre is a goon. He brutally attacked Shankar Ghosh. He was physically attacked. The entire action was on the instigation of the thief Mamata Banerjee. He is the biggest thief of Bengal.”
