Heavy rains continue in Himachal Pradesh, 822 roads closed, clouds 45 times in three months, big landslides 93 times – News Himachali News Himachali

In many parts of Himachal Pradesh, landslides and sudden floods have caused heavy damage due to rains and traffic has to be stopped on 822 roads including three national highways. The local Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rains in Bilaspur, Solan and Sirmaur districts.

Officials said that after the monsoon knock from June 20 to August 30, there have been incidents of sudden floods, 45 times cloudburst and 93 major landslides in the state.

Officials said that a total of 822 roads including National Highways-Old Hindustan Tibet Road, Mandi-Dharampur Road and Aut-Sainz Road are closed on Sunday morning.

He said that the Manali-Naggar-Kallu route has been disrupted due to the sudden floods in Natar and Bhaag rivers and repair work is going on there. According to officials, two vehicles were also buried under the rubble on the outskirts of Shimla city.

According to the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), 1,236 power transformers and 424 water supply schemes have also been affected by rain -related incidents. Officials said that the Maninath Yatra trapped in Bharmour and Chamba is being taken out for pilgrims.
