Uttarakhand Rain: The continuous rainfall in Uttarakhand has severely affected the connectivity in Devprayag and nearby regions, the officials informed. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday stated that while hilly regions are witnessing landslides, the plain areas are dealing with flood-like situations. While providing details, the weather department stated that the water level of the Bhagirathi river reached the danger mark due to the continuous rainfall, further advising the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
The officials stated that key roads of the state got blocked in several regions, including Kaudiyala, Mulya Village, and Pant Village on Tuesday night. The National Highway Department removed the debris from all the three places and restored highway traffic in the early hours of Wednesday.
Apart from this, the water level of Ganga reached 461.34 meters near the warning mark of 462 meters at 7 am on Wednesday. The officials stated that several regions, including Sangam, Ramkund, and Phuladi got submerged due to the significant surge in water level.
