Heartbreaking story: Son himself left this world by giving liver to his mother. Son Dies From Infection After Donating Liver To Save Mother In Pakistan

In Pakistan, after donating a liver to his mother, the son died of infection, while the mother survived. In India also a lecturer died in a similar manner. These events highlight the serious risks of living liver donation.

It is said that a mother can do anything for the happiness of her children, even give up her life. But such a story has come to light from Pakistan, where a son lost his life while trying to save his mother. Actually, the mother had serious liver disease. The son donated a part of his liver to the mother, but she died due to infection after the surgery. At the same time, the mother’s life was saved by her son’s liver, but now she is devastated by the loss of her son.

No parent wants to see the death of their child while they are alive. We have often heard such news where parents donated their organs when their children needed a kidney or liver. But here the story is opposite. A young son sacrifices himself to save his mother’s life. If that mother had even the slightest idea that this operation could cost her son’s life, she would probably never have agreed to it. But fate had something else in store.

This heart-wrenching incident happened in Sargodha, Pakistan. The mother of Umar Farooq Bajwa, resident of this place, was suffering from liver disease. Earlier this month, Umar decided to donate a part of his liver to his mother. His mother was cured with this donation, but son Omar never returned from the hospital. Umar Farooq died in the hospital due to infection after liver donation. After this incident, everyone is saddened by feeling the pain of that mother.

The story of Umar’s sacrifice is going viral on social media. People are expressing surprise at this incident and praying that God should give the mother the strength to bear this grief.

Donating a liver while alive can be quite risky. Even the slightest mistake in this can take the life of the donor. In the same year 2024, a similar incident took place in Mangaluru, India. Archana Kamat, a young lecturer, died while trying to donate a liver to a relative of her husband. This incident had deeply shocked not only Archana’s family but also thousands of her students, friends and close ones.

Archana Kamat was earlier a lecturer at Canara College, Mangaluru and later taught at மந்தல் Srinivasa Nayak MBA College, located on the outskirts of the city. She is survived by her husband CA Chetan Kumar and four year old son. A female relative of her husband was ill and needed a liver transplant. Many people were tested, but no one’s blood group matched. Finally, lecturer Archana’s blood group matched and she agreed to donate a part of the liver. But while the patient’s condition improved after the surgery, Archana died.
