A surprising news has come from Hyderabad. Here a 23 year old girl committed suicide just because her family members were not allowing her to keep a cat in the house. The name of the deceased girl was T. Princi alias Shrestha and she was going to become a doctor soon. This incident took place in Alwal area of Hyderabad, Telangana. Shrestha was a resident of Risala Bazaar. Shrestha was very fond of keeping cats, but her family members were not ready for it. She became so upset about this that she took the extreme step of ending her life.
The girl was preparing for PG after MBBS
Shrestha had recently completed her MBBS and was preparing for Post Graduation (PG). Meanwhile, he was having a rift with his family over the cat. Fed up with this, he committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan.
The cat was being kept for three months, there used to be fights in the house.
Alwal’s SI N. According to Devendra, Shrestha had brought a cat home some time ago. She was keeping this cat for the last three months. Because of this there were frequent fights in the family. Family members used to say that living with a cat can cause allergies. Troubled by this, Princi took this step on Friday afternoon. At that time his family members had gone out for some work. He hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his flat.
The family members had gone out when the accident happened.
When the family members were out, they called to ask whether he had eaten food or not. But Shrestha did not pick up the phone. Then he asked the neighbors to go to the house and take a look. The neighbors knocked on the door, but got no answer. When they peeked through the window, they found Shrestha hanging from the fan in the hall. SI Devender said that after this he called the police and 108 ambulance and informed them.
The family members have said in their complaint that Princess was unhappy over being refused to keep the cat and perhaps that is why she committed suicide. Police have not found any suicide note from the spot. SI Devender said, “We have registered a case under section 194 (suspicious death) of BNSS.
