Now, Rashmika has spoken about how the film’s storyline evolved during production.
In an interview with Telugu journalist Prema, Rashmika revealed that Murugadoss made several changes to the script as filming progressed, resulting in a narrative that differed significantly from what she had originally signed on for.
‘I remember discussing the script with Murugadoss sir. What eventually happened was quite different. When I first heard it, the story was indeed very different,’ the actor said. She added that such changes are common in filmmaking, often influenced by performances, editing choices, or release strategies. ‘Things change, and that is very common. That’s what happened with Sikandar,’ she noted.
In the film, Rashmika plays the wife of Salman Khan’s character, who is killed in the first half, after which the story shifts focus to Khan’s revenge-driven arc against the main antagonist, played by Sathyaraj. Salman Khan had earlier stated that he did not regret taking on the project, maintaining that the film’s ‘plot was good.’
On the work front, Rashmika is set to feature in Cocktail 2. On the personal front, she is reportedly preparing to marry South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda on February 26, 2026, at a palace in Udaipur, with the ceremony expected to be a private affair attended by close family and friends.
