Health Tips: This One Breakfast Can Lower Cholesterol, Sugar and Weight Naturally

Our lifestyle has changed, and as a result, many diseases are affecting us at a young age. This is why many people are suffering from increasing weight and high blood sugar.

Another problem that plagues many is high cholesterol. Poor diet, lack of exercise, and immense stress are some of the reasons behind this.

Consequently, many people are experiencing elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels at a young age. A recent study conducted by the University of Bonn suggests that one particular food item can be extremely helpful in lowering these levels.

Which food item should you eat to control cholesterol?

The study conducted by the University of Bonn on rising cholesterol and how to control it involved approximately 32 people. These individuals had metabolic syndrome.

This means that these people had very high weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. These people were given oatmeal twice a week. It was observed that within a few hours, the level of bad cholesterol in their bodies decreased. And this effect of oatmeal lasted for the next two days.

After this, these people consumed oatmeal for breakfast for a few days and then continued with their regular diet. Even then, the cholesterol levels in most of them were found to be lower. They consumed oatmeal in a very simple way. They added different vegetables or fruits to oatmeal cooked in water.

This provided them with fiber and protein as well. Oatmeal contains good bacteria that improve digestion and help with insulin resistance. Therefore, oatmeal helps in controlling weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Although oatmeal is nutritious, it should be consumed only after consulting a doctor. Avoid experimenting on your own.
