The attempt by a father to bury his three children alive in Nandnagar village of Basti created a sensation. On the information of neighbors, the police saved the children in time. Accused Irfan has been arrested and the children have been safely handed over to their mother.
Scary stories are often born in the silence of the night, but this case that came to light from Basti district is not a part of any story, but a truth that puts humanity to shame. In Nandnagar village, a father was preparing the graves of his three innocent children. The pit inside which the children were to be buried alive in the next few minutes. But as soon as the terrified screams of the children reached the neighborhood, someone informed the police in time and that information became the life of three small lives.
The grave itself was inside the house, the police arrived after hearing the screams.
Mohammad Irfan, a resident of Nandnagar village of Parasrampur police station area, was digging a pit with a shovel in a room of his house. Her three children in the corner of the room –
- 11 year old Mahinoor,
- 9 year old Amin,
- 6 year old Mahjabeen
They were sitting confined in fear and trembling. It is alleged that Irfan had planned to bury these three alive in this pit. As soon as the sounds of children crying and screaming reached the neighborhood, people immediately informed the police. The police team reached the spot and took the children out safely.

He used to beat his wife and children like animals.
According to neighbours, Irfan’s behavior was unusual for a long time. He remained under the influence of cannabis 24 hours a day, used to sweep the house, beat his wife and children like animals. A few days ago, fed up with the beating, his wife had gone to her parents’ house with her elder daughter. The three younger children were left with Irfan and they became a threat to him.
Even in winter, he used to make children sleep outside and burn their clothes.
Local people told that this father used to make the children sleep outside the house even in cold weather. Whenever someone gave him clothes or quilt, Irfan used to burn those clothes. Even after such cruelty, no one had any idea that the next step would be like burying their children alive.
Was stunned when the police entered the house
When the police team went inside, Irfan was digging a pit and the children were hiding in the corner out of fear. As soon as he saw the police, he ran away from the spot, but was arrested within a short time. The children told the police that their father was going to throw them in this pit.
What did the Deputy SP say?
Deputy SP Swarnima Singh said, the police had received information that Irfan was continuously torturing his children, fear of danger to the children was raised, during the search of the house a big pit was found and a shovel was also found nearby, which was used to dig the pit.
At present, the police have rescued all three children and handed them over to their mother. Accused Irfan has been arrested and further action has been started.
