According to Haryana’s Excise and Taxation Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh, according to the latest data released by the Union Finance Ministry, the state’s gross SGST collection is increasing at a record rate of 22 percent in 2025-26 as compared to the previous financial year. He said that Haryana’s gross SGST collection (after settlement) for the current financial year has reached Rs 44,460 crore, which is Rs 7,918 crore more than the collection till February in the last financial year, thus a growth rate of 22 percent has been recorded. He said that this is the highest among all the states and union territories of the country.
Highest growth in the country
According to an official statement, he further said that according to the data released by the Finance Ministry, in the current financial year, the gross SGST collection of all the states and union territories has increased at the national average rate of 6 percent. In the month of February, Haryana’s gross SGST growth rate remained higher with 23 percent growth compared to the month of February of the last financial year. Even in the months following the GST rate rationalization by the GST Council in September 2025, Haryana is showing steady growth in SGST collections, which reflects not only efficient tax administration but also the good health of the state’s economy.
GST Facilitation Centers opened in all the districts of Haryana
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had welcomed and supported the GST rate rationalization reforms in the GST Council meeting held in September 2025 and thanked the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister. The Excise and Taxation Commissioner said that there are a total of 6,22,478 GST taxpayers in Haryana, and GST Facilitation Centers have been opened in all the districts of Haryana to facilitate registration under the GST law. He said that GST is seeing good growth due to improvement in tax compliance in the state, which is mainly due to many reforms made in the GST system in the last few years and better tax analysis system adopted by the officials of Excise and Taxation Department of Haryana.
