His wife and IAS officer Amneet P Kumar has made serious allegations of abetment to suicide and caste harassment against Haryana DGP Shatrujit Singh Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarnia in this case.
IAS wife said- ‘Justice will be given at any cost’
Amneet Kumar says her husband was an “officer with impeccable integrity and honesty”, but caste discrimination and constant humiliation within the system broke him. He clearly said, “This is not an ordinary suicide, but a conspiracy.” Amneet P Kumar said, “Justice should not only be done, but also visible.” She wrote in her complaint that the DGP and SP did not listen to her husband. He even called both the officers before his death, but no one answered. “My husband kept asking for help till the last moment, but the system turned a deaf ear,” Amneet alleges.
Was IPS Y Puran Kumar implicated in a conspiracy?
IAS officer Amneet revealed in her complaint that a false FIR was registered against her husband. This FIR was registered at the Urban Estate Police Station in Rohtak on 6 October. Amneet claims that this was a “conspiracy hatched at the behest of the DGP” to mentally break Puran Kumar. She said, “My husband had told me that preparations were underway to implicate him on false charges. He was very distressed, was repeatedly insulted and had lost hope of justice.”
8-page suicide note: Which names came out?
Chandigarh Police’s investigation has found an eight-page suicide note. The names of many senior police officers have been written in this note, who have been accused of harassment and insult. Amneet says the note is “testimony to a broken heart.” “My husband was repeatedly humiliated, ostracized from places of worship and humiliated by senior officials because of his caste,” she said.
Did administrative harassment take the life of an honest officer?
Puran Kumar’s wife told Chandigarh Police that her husband had tried to contact both DGP Kapoor and SP Bijarnia, but no one responded. “He wanted to express his views till the last moment, but no one listened,” he said. Amneet alleged that “administrative harassment and caste discrimination took the life of a man whose only crime was to be honest.” Amneet said her husband was repeatedly humiliated because of his SC background. He demanded protection under SC/ST Act several times, but no action was taken. He wrote “An honest officer was killed by the politics of caste and position.”

IAS officer Amneet P Kumar said she would seek justice for her husband at all costs. He has demanded the police to arrest the DGP and SP so that they cannot tamper with the evidence. She says, “Justice should not only be done, but it should also be visible. My husband has worked for the system all his life, now the same system should provide him justice.”
