A son was born as the 11th child after 10 daughters in a family in Jind district of Haryana. This incident has given rise to a big debate on social media, where people are raising questions about the desire for a son and the attitude towards daughters in the society. A 37-year-old woman gave birth to a child on January 4 at Ojas Hospital and Maternity Home. This delivery was high risk, in which the woman had to undergo three units of blood transfusion, but now both the mother and the newborn are healthy. The child’s father Sanjay Kumar is a daily wage labourer. When it came to light that Sanjay Kumar could not even tell the names of some of his daughters, people’s concern increased further on social media.
