Haryana Board Marks Improvement 2025: Have you ever thought that you wish your marks could have increased a bit more in the board exams? If yes, now your wish can be fulfilled. If you have appeared for 12th examination from Haryana Board, then you have a great opportunity to increase your marks. Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has given a unique opportunity to its old students. HBSE has started Special Marks Improvement Drive for all 12th pass students from 1990 to 2024. That means, all the students who have passed 12th (Senior Secondary) examination between these years and are not satisfied with their marks, are being given a golden opportunity to improve their marks.

When and how to apply for Haryana Board Students Marks Improvement Exam?

According to Haryana Board, this process will start from 31 October 2025 and the last date of application is 15 November 2025. Students can apply online by visiting the official website of the board, bseh.org.in. One time application fee is Rs 10,000. Candidates can appear for improvement examination in one or maximum two subjects. It will be necessary to attach a photocopy of the old pass certificate with the application, either issued from the Board office or attested by the Principal of a recognized school. The board has clearly said that no application will be accepted after November 15.

Haryana Board alumni have one-time unique opportunity

This is the first time that Haryana Board has given an opportunity to its former students to re-examination on such a large scale. The objective of this scheme is that those students, who due to some reason were not able to score good marks earlier, can now strengthen their educational profile and get better career opportunities. According to the Chairman of HBSE, this is a one-time unique opportunity, that is, such an opportunity will not be available again.

History of Haryana Board

Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) was established in 1969 in Chandigarh. The board examination was first held in 1970 at 10th (matriculation) level. Then in 1976, 8th class examination and in 1987, 12th class examination was conducted for the first time by adopting 10+2 pattern. The board conducts class 8, 10 and 12 examinations every year in the month of March.

Haryana Board Result 2025

Class 10th result was released on 17 May 2025. A total of 2,71,499 students appeared for the exam, out of which 2,51,110 passed. The overall pass percentage was 92.49%. Class 12th result was declared on 13 May 2025. The pass percentage of regular students was 85.66%. The percentage of private candidates was 63.21%. Rural students outperformed urban students by a slight margin with 85.94% students passing in rural areas, while 85.83% students passed in urban areas.
