Hartalika teej fast 2025: Hartalika Teej is celebrated on Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month, which is very special for Suhagin women. This time this auspicious occasion is falling on Tuesday, 26 August. According to religious belief, Goddess Parvati received harsh penance and received Lord Shiva in the form of husband on this day. Since then, Suhagin women observe Nirjala fast with the desire of their husband’s long life and a happy married life. Pregnant women

Sick women
In the scriptures, women have been advised not to observe the Nirjala fast of Teej, very sick or suffering from any serious illness. Such women can worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, but there is no need to fast.
Elderly women
In astrology, elderly women have been advised not to observe Nirjala fast. It is very important to be healthy to fast on Hartalika Teej. Those whose physical capacity of women is not eligible to observe Nirjala fast, they should avoid doing this fast.
Virgin girls
The virgin girls can leave the Hartalika Teej’s nirjala. Virgin girls can observe normal fasts and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. But there is no need to fast Nirjala. If you have the ability to observe Nirjala fast, then you can do it as per your wish.
