The IPL 2026 is just a week away and many of the players are confirmed to miss the complete or a part of the tournament. As many as nine franchises have been hit by injuries or some other issue.
Gujarat Titans (GT) is the only teams which has all its players available for selection right from the first game of the tournament. The 19th edition of the T20 league is set to kick off on March 28. The BCCI has announced the schedule for the first 20 matches so far. As the fans wait for the start of the festival of Indian cricket, here we have a look at the IPL 2026 complete injury list (franchise-wise) –
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
KKR will be without the services of Harshit Rana for the complete season. The right-arm pacer suffered a knee injury during the 2026 T20 World Cup warm-up game against South Africa. It ruled him out of the ICC event and the T20 league. KKR will be without the services of Matheesha Pathirana for the initial phase of IPL. He is likley to join the squad in mid-April.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood is down with an Achilles injury and he is set to miss at least 2 matches for his team. Hazlewood has been out of action for a long time and he missed the complete Ashes series.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

SRH will be without the services of their captain Pat Cummins in the initial phase of IPL 2026. He is down with a back injury and also missed the 2026 T20 World Cup. Ishan Kishan will lead SRH in his absence and will be assisted by Abhishek Sharma. Jack Edwards has also been ruled out due to an injury.
Mumbai Indians (MI)
MI’s Atharva Ankolekar will miss his maiden IPL season due to a knee injury that he suffered during a Ranji Trophy game. Ankolekar had joined MI at his base price of Rs 30 lakh.
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Sam Curran will miss his maiden stint with RR due to an injury. The star England all-rounder had joined RR via trade from Chennai Super Kings. But he will have to wait at least a year to don the RR jersey.
Delhi Capitals (DC)
Mitchell Starc will miss the initial phase of IPL. Cricket Australia is managing his workload and he will be rested before the 2026-27 season. DC had signed Starc for Rs 11.75 crore.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
CSK will miss out on the services of Nathan Ellis for the complete season. The right-arm pacer has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. “Nathan Ellis has been ruled out of the season due to a Hamstring injury. Wishing him a speedy recovery!” the franchise said in a statement.
Punjab Kings (PBKS)
PBKS will be without the services of Lockie Ferguson in the initial matches of the T20 league. The New Zealand pacer is fit, but needs time off to be with his family. PBKS bought Ferguson for Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2025 mega-auction.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
LSG’s Josh Inglis will miss the start of IPL due to his marriage. Despite his partial availability, Inglis was in high demand and he joined LSG for Rs 8.60 crore.
