Harry Brook Century: Harry Brook is known for his stormy batting and this right-handed batsman did something similar in the third match of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Harry Brook thrashed the Sri Lankan bowlers and scored unbeaten 136 runs in just 66 balls. Brook hit 9 sixes and 11 fours in his innings. The special thing is that the England captain scored more than 100 runs in the last 10 overs, which is amazing in itself.

England captain Harry Brook had scored only 35 runs in 26 balls till the 40th over in the third ODI against Sri Lanka, but when 50 overs were completed, this batsman managed to score 101 runs in the next 40 balls. With this, Harry Brook added his name to the list of explosive batsmen whose names are held with great respect in world cricket.
De Villiers has a world record
De Villiers holds the record of scoring the highest number of 121 runs in an ODI match between 41 and 50 overs. He did this feat against West Indies in 2015. Rohit Sharma had scored 110 runs in 44 balls in the last 10 overs against Sri Lanka in the year 2014. Butler has done this feat twice for England. He has done this feat against West Indies in 2019 and Pakistan in 2015. Now Brook has done this amazing thing.
Brook-root’s wonder
Harry Brook and Joe Root together scored 124 runs in the last 8 overs, out of which Brook contributed 98 runs in 32 balls. Brook hit 9 fours and 7 sixes during this period. Joe Root also batted brilliantly. In the third ODI against Sri Lanka, he scored unbeaten 111 runs in 108 balls. This was his 20th century in ODI cricket.
