Ahmedabad: After India’s spectacular victory in the T20 World Cup, pictures and videos of Team India’s celebration are all over social media. But amidst this celebration, a video of all-rounder Hardik Pandya and his girlfriend Mahika Sharma has now become a cause of major controversy.
When Hardik’s girlfriend did not agree
After winning the World Cup, the team’s photoshoot was going on at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, a video is going viral in which ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta is seen asking Mahika to move aside and make some space for the team photo. Fans allege that despite Sanjog Gupta’s request, Mahika did not move away from there and stood near Hardik. Hardik and Mahika were together on the field after the World Cup victory. Both of them gave many poses with the World Cup trophy while standing, sitting and even lying down, on which there was a lot of debate.

Apart from this, fans are also criticizing some of Hardik Pandya’s behavior during the team’s victory procession. Another allegation is that instead of giving the trophy to other team members, he focused more on getting photographed with his girlfriend in different poses holding the trophy and tried to get unnecessary attention.

There have also been demands for legal action against Hardik, accusing him of insulting the Indian national flag during the celebrations. The basis of the complaint is that he was lying on the stage with his girlfriend wearing the tricolor flag. Advocate Wajid Khan has filed a complaint in this matter at Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Pune. However, no one has yet officially confirmed the authenticity of this video going viral on social media. The conversation between Mahika and Sanjog Gupta is also not clear in the video. Therefore, it cannot be said with certainty whether he had just asked to leave the field or it was something else.
