Where is this temple located?
On the contrary, this ancient temple of Hanuman ji is situated at a place called Saver near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It is known as Reverse Hanuman Dham. In the statue installed here, Hanuman ji’s head is not towards the sky but towards the earth.
Why is Hanuman ji upside down?
According to mythology, this form reflects the time when Lord Hanuman came to save Lord Rama and Lakshman from the underworld of Ahiravana. It is said that to kill Ahiravana, Hanuman ji had assumed an inverted form and in that state he had entered the underworld. In the joy of killing Ahiravana in the underworld and bringing back Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman safely, their inverted form is worshiped here. Therefore, this is the reason why his inverted statue has been installed here in memory of this incident.
Temple beliefs and miracles
Devotees believe that even the biggest troubles can be averted just by visiting this temple. There are some beliefs related to this also.
Three Tuesday Darshans: It is believed that if a devotee visits here for three consecutive Tuesdays and serves Lord Hanuman, all his wishes are fulfilled.
Freedom from planetary defects: This temple is considered very sacred. It is believed that by visiting here one gets relief from Shani Dosh and Mangal Dosh.
Sindoori Chola: Here, a vermilion robe is specially offered to Hanumanji, which the devotees take with them as a symbol of good luck.
