The latest surprise came when Hanuman Ansh collected an estimated Rs 8.50 crore net in India on Day 26, according to Sacnilk. In comparison, recorded Rs 8.20 crore on its seventh day. The difference may be only Rs 30 lakh, but the context makes the achievement remarkable: Hanuman Ansh was already in its fourth week, while Toxic was completing its first week.

Hanuman Ansh’s Box Office Trajectory
What makes Hanuman Ansh’s turnaround even more extraordinary is its opening trajectory. The film started with just Rs 10 lakh on Day 1, collecting only Rs 1.08 crore during its entire first week. Its second week was even quieter, with the film earning around Rs 40 lakh. However, the narrative changed dramatically in Week 3, when word of mouth pushed its collections to approximately Rs 10.40 crore. The momentum then exploded during its fourth weekend, with the film earning Rs 6.25 crore on Friday, Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.75 crore on Sunday.
The result is a spectacular long-tail run. By the end of Day 26, Hanuman Ansh had accumulated Rs 54.13 crore net in India, while its India gross stood at Rs 63.82 crore, according to Sacnilk. With no overseas contribution listed by the tracker at that point, the India gross also represented its recorded worldwide gross.

The September 1 figure also highlights just how dramatically audience demand has changed. Hanuman Ansh’s overall Hindi occupancy rose to 43.56 per cent on Day 26, compared with 22.37 per cent on the previous day. More importantly, exhibitors actually increased the number of shows from 6,587 on Monday to 7,008 on Tuesday.

The contrast with Toxic is particularly striking. Yash’s film opened to a massive Rs 101.10 crore net in India on Day 1, establishing an enormous lead over Hanuman Ansh’s humble Rs 10 lakh opening. Yet by Day 26 of , the low-budget film was recording a single-day number higher than Toxic’s Day 7 collection of Rs 8.20 crore.
