The devotional drama Hanuman Ansh has pulled off one of the most surprising box office turnarounds of the year. After a quiet start and an even quieter second week, the film has suddenly caught fire in its third weekend. Word of mouth and temple town audiences seem to be driving this late surge, turning a film that looked like a non-starter into a genuine sleeper hit.
Hanuman Ansh Sees Massive Jump On Third Weekend
The film opened to a soft response, earning just over Rs 1 crore net in its entire first week. The second week was even weaker, with collections dropping to around Rs 40 lakh. Nobody expected much after that kind of start.
But the third weekend changed everything. Friday and Saturday saw decent growth, with figures surging to Rs 15 lakh and Rs 85 lakh respectively. However, the biggest surprise came on Sunday when collections shot up to Rs 2.20 crore, giving the film its single biggest day yet.
When compared to the second weekend numbers, the growth worked out to well over 1000 per cent. This kind of spike is rare for a small-budget devotional film.

Hanuman Ansh Crosses Rs 10 Crore Net Mark
Riding on this sudden momentum, Hanuman Ansh has now crossed the Rs 10 crore net mark in India. As per the latest tracking, the film has collected close to Rs 10.4 crore net after three weeks of release, with gross collections slightly higher at over Rs 12 crore.
The third week alone has contributed nearly Rs 9 crore of this total, which is more than what the film earned in its first two weeks combined. Days like the third Sunday and third Tuesday saw some of the biggest single-day numbers of the film’s entire run so far.

Hanuman Ansh is a spiritual drama, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba. It released in theatres on August 7, 2026. The film is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and runs for about two hours and thirty minutes. It has been given a U certificate by the CBFC, making it suitable for family audiences.
The cast includes Shobhinaw Satyaa and Vihaan Shedge in lead roles, along with Anil Rastogi, Chandan Anand, Gulshan Pandey and Purnima Tiwari in supporting parts. The music has been composed by Sadhu Sushil Tiwari, while Vishal Bawa has handled the cinematography for the devotional drama.
