Hanuman Ansh – Producer Clarifies Akshay Kumar Rumours Around the Film’s Sequel

Hanuman Ansh has continued to attract attention with its strong theatrical run, and recent reports about a possible sequel featuring Akshay Kumar had added another layer of interest around the film. However, producer Anupriya Nagar has now clarified that she never confirmed the actor’s involvement in the proposed second part.

The speculation began after Anupriya described Akshay as her favourite actor. When she was asked whether he could appear in the sequel, she reportedly responded that “Maharaj Ji” would decide. The comment was subsequently interpreted by some fans as an indication that Akshay might join the next instalment.

Producer Rejects Reports About Akshay Kumar

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Anupriya addressed the speculation and said she had not made any statement confirming Akshay Kumar’s presence in Hanuman Ansh Part 2.

Her clarification puts a pause on the reports linking the Bollywood star to the sequel. At present, there is no confirmation from the producer that Akshay has been signed for the next chapter of the film.

The original movie has generated considerable attention despite being made on a relatively small budget, with its story drawing on accounts associated with Neem Karoli Baba.

Singer Sunil Lodhi Receives Support for Treatment

Away from the sequel speculation, Anupriya has also offered assistance to singer Sunil Lodhi, who contributed vocals to the film’s song Maine Tere Hi Bharose.

According to the producer, she arranged a consultation appointment in Mumbai for Lodhi’s eye treatment. She also said the Madhya Pradesh government subsequently stepped in to provide support for his medical care.

Anupriya described the assistance as a joint effort involving the people and institutions supporting the singer. The song has received a favourable response on social media, helping it gain additional visibility among viewers of the film.

Hanuman Ansh Continues Its Box Office Run

Hanuman Ansh has reportedly collected Rs 309.38 crore in India, while its worldwide gross has reached around Rs 404.25 crore. The film was made on a reported budget of Rs 2 crore, meaning its reported earnings are substantially higher than its initial production cost.

The film has continued playing in theatres nearly two months after its release, maintaining attention despite its modest budget. Its performance has become one of the key talking points surrounding the project.

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film features Shobhinav Satya and Chandan Anand in leading roles. The director had previously spoken about the unusual process he followed while developing the screenplay.

Director Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hands-On Writing Process

Chaturvedi reportedly wrote the entire screenplay by hand before handing the handwritten material to his assistant. The script was then printed for further use during the filmmaking process.

The approach offers an interesting insight into how the project was developed before reaching theatres. While the film’s reported commercial performance has brought it wider attention, the producer’s latest clarification makes it clear that Akshay Kumar’s involvement in a sequel should not be treated as confirmed.

For now, Hanuman Ansh continues its theatrical journey, while any future announcement regarding a second part will have to come directly from the filmmakers.
