The plate final of Hong Kong International Sixes 2025 was played between the teams of Bangladesh and Hong Kong. This match, held at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, witnessed an exciting contest and the result of the match came on the last ball. Fans got to see a lot of fours and sixes in this match and in the last over, all limits of excitement were crossed. Hong Kong showed a charismatic performance in the last over to win this match.
Bangladesh put a big score on the board
Bangladesh batted first after losing the toss in this match and they managed to put a big score on the board. Bangladesh scored 120 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 6 overs. In which captain Akbar Ali’s innings of 51 runs in 13 balls had the biggest contribution. Apart from him, Abu Hidar also scored 28 runs on 8 balls. Whereas, Zishan Alam played an inning of 27 runs in 7 balls. Due to which the team was successful in reaching a big score.

But this target proved to be small to defeat Hong Kong. Hong Kong did not have a good start, both the openers were out without opening the account. After this Aijaz Khan scored an explosive half-century. But as per the rules, he had to retire hurt after scoring a half-century. At the same time, Nizakat Khan took the team closer to the target by scoring 28 runs on 10 balls and the match reached the last over, where Hong Kong needed 30 runs on 6 balls to win.
In the last over, Aijaz Khan once again entered the crease, because the team had lost 4 wickets. Which proved to be the turning point of this match. Aijaz Khan gave a charismatic performance and hit 5 sixes in the last over and gave victory to Hong Kong. He hit a six on the very first ball of this over, then a wide ball was seen. After this Aijaz Khan hit another six. But he could not score runs on the third ball. Aijaz Khan once again hit a six on the fourth ball of the over, and raised hopes of victory. Then even on the last two balls, Aijaz hit sixes and led the team to victory.
