Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025: Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the founder of Sikhism and the first Guru of the Sikhs. Every year his birth anniversary is celebrated on the full moon day of Kartik month. This year, the full moon day of Kartik month and the birth anniversary of Guru Ganak Dev Ji are going to be celebrated tomorrow i.e. on 5th November. The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is also known as Guru Parv. On the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, there is a continuous recitation of 48 hours.

Grand programs are organized in Gurudwaras on this day. The sacred words of Guru Granth Sahib echo in every direction. Guru Nanak Dev Ji had given the message of equality, service and love. “Ek Omkar Satnam was an important sermon of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He told that God is one and He is omnipresent. God is not limited to any one religion, caste or country, but He is inside every living being. He said that God should not be searched for in a temple, mosque or in any external form, rather one should search for Him within oneself. When man develops the understanding that there is only one God in everyone, then discrimination, hatred and ego are eliminated from within him. This gives unity to humanity, It is a sermon to take us on the path of love and equality.
