Mahadev placed a condition to find a place in front of these three where the Ganges is the North Corps, like Kailash, the land is Trikhand, as well as the place which is a holy and tapa place. But, do you know that Kashi was not the first choice for Mahadev’s residence. Earlier, a similar area was selected in Bihar. Where Mahadev’s Kashi was to be settled. But, due to lack of land only one barley, this residence of Nath Vishwanath of Kashi could not become the place of residence. If at that time Devarshi Narada, Dev Shilpi Vishwakarma Vastu Purush had got a barley land at that place, then the trinity of Kailash would have been prepared at that place.
This place is in Bihar. This story is very interesting. Bhagalpur district of Bihar, known as Silk City (Silk Nagari), is a small city under Kahalgaon. Where there is a temple of Baba Bateshwar Nath on the hill amidst the sharp stream of Maa Ganga, this place is called Bateshwar Dham. This is the same Bateshwar place, where Rishi Vashistha also meditated in a lot of penance, due to which Brahmaji gave him a boon to be the total guru of Raghukul. Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama was born in this clan. It was here that sage Vasistha worshiped Mahadev as Vishweshwar, due to which this place is called Bateshwar Dham.
This is the first place in the world, where in front of the Shivling of Baba Bateshwar is not the temple of Mother Parvati but the temple of Maa Kali, who sits towards the south, he is worshiped by calling Dakshineshwari Kali. In such a situation, this place is famous as Dev-Shakti Peeth. This place is considered suitable for tantra learning, it is also called Gupt Kashi. This place is also the confluence of Ganga Kosi.
