PM Gati Shakti Yojana: PM Narendra Modi is going to Gujarat on August 25, where he will start railway projects worth more than Rs 1400 crore. This will promote both development and employment.
PM Modi Gujarat Visit 2025: The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Gujarat on August 25, 2025, where he will keep more than Rs 1,400 crore different railway projects among the people. These projects are especially going to benefit Mahesana, Patan, Banaskantha, Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad districts of North Gujarat. These railway projects will play an important role in regional connectivity, industrial development, logistics efficiency and employment.
Railway projects will be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, among them the doubling of Mahesana -Calanpur railway line (65 km), prepared at a cost of Rs 537 crore, gauge conversion of Kalol -Kodi -Katosan Road Rail Line (37 km) at a cost of Rs 347 crore and gauge conversion of Rs 520 crore and Betcherji -Rail Line (40 km) will be included. These railway projects will especially provide easy, safe and uninterrupted contacts to Mahesana, Banaskantha and Patan districts of North Gujarat through broad gauge lines.

This will make it easier and faster for passengers, tourists and businesses. Also, regional economic will also be boosted. Due to additional line capacity, it will be possible to run trains at a high speed on the Ahmedabad -Delhi route. This will clear more passenger trains to walk and there will be significant improvement in the speed and speed of goods trains. Thus these projects will provide new energy to the economic activities of Gujarat.
The Gauge Conversion of Bacharaji -Ranunj Rail Line has been done in line with the National Logistics Policy and PM Gati Street National Master Plan for Multimodal connectivity. It aims to reduce logistics costs and bring better improvement in the logistics performance index rankings of the state of Gujarat. This initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will give more momentum to the socio-economic progress of North Gujarat. Also, India’s logistics and railway sector will set a new standard.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also launch a passenger train service tight and a car-loaded freight train service between Katosan Road and Sabarmati. Katosan- Sabarmati Road New Train Service will not only make it easier for tourism and religious places, but will also promote economic activities at the local level. Similarly, car-loaded freight train starting from Bacharaji will provide strong connectivity to the industrial areas of the state. This will expand the logistics network and create new employment opportunities. Both these rail services will provide environmentally friendly, sustainable and high -level transport options to the region. This will not only reduce travel time but will also increase regional industrial development, investment attraction and employment generation. All these railway projects will pave the route from developed Gujarat to developed India.
