GTA Online April 2 weekly event now LIVE: Free Cars, 3X GTA$ Rewards, LSPD Discounts

New Delhi: If you were enjoying the snow in Los Santos for the April Fool event, Its thurdsday and Rockstar’s new weekly update for GTA Online has gone live. Turns out, this week leans heavily into police-style gameplay, with new vehicles, dispatch jobs, and a bunch of boosted payouts. It feels a bit different from the usual chaos.

The event runs from April 2 till April 8 (IST), and it packs free rewards, outfit unlocks, and multiple 2X and 3X GTA$ boosts. Some of the bonuses are easy to grab, even if you only play for an hour or two.

GTA Online April 2 to 8 event: what’s new this week

The biggest change this week is the arrival of decommissioned police vehicles. Players can drive cars like the Bravado Buffalo Cruiser, and there’s a free Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit for GTA+ members.

Rockstar said players can “hit the streets of Los Santos in new decommissioned Bravado police vehicles” and also “team up with Vincent for two new Dispatch Work jobs.”

I tried one of the dispatch jobs and it actually feels more structured than usual missions. Less chaos, more chasing targets. Not bad honestly.

Easy GTA$ grinding with 2x and 3x boosts

If you’re short on cash, this week is pretty forgiving. A few activities are giving double rewards, and some go even higher for GTA+ users.

Here’s what stood out:

  • Dispatch Work gives 2X GTA$ and RP
  • Wildlife Photography and Firefighter jobs also give 2X
  • GTA+ players get up to 3X or even 4X rewards

Weekly challenge and free outfits

There’s a simple weekly challenge that doesn’t take much effort. Complete 5 Dispatch Work missions and you get GTA$200,000, which is roughly ₹1.74 lakh in real-world value conversion.

You also unlock outfits like:

  • Summer LSPD Officer outfit
  • Winter Park Ranger outfit after owning a Declasse Park Ranger

The update clearly states, “Complete 5 Dispatch Work Missions to receive the Summer LSPD Officer w/ Tie Outfit and GTA$200,000.”

Big vehicle discounts and free rewards

This week is also heavy on discounts, especially police-themed vehicles. Many law enforcement cars are available at 35 percent off. Regular cars and even the Rhino Tank are listed under 30 percent discounts.

Free items include:

  • Nightstick and Baseball Bat
  • Stun Gun for GTA+ users
  • Lucky Wheel vehicle Maibatsu MonstroCiti

There’s also a Prize Ride challenge where you can win the Ocelot Swinger if you place top 2 in races for four days.

If you log in daily and complete a few missions, you can stack decent GTA$. Not flashy, but it works. And yeah, driving police cars in Los Santos still feels oddly satisfying.
