GT vs MI IPL 2026: Kagiso Rabada breathes fire to destroy Mumbai Indians top-order

New Delhi: Gujarat Titans pace bowler Kagiso Rabada continued his superb wicket-taking run with another breathtaking spell of fast bowling in Match 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against the Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Fresh from a match-winning three-wicket haul against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rabada continued his hot streak with another remarkable bowling effort.

Rabada proved Shubman Gill’s decision to bowl first right with a wicket each in his first three overs inside the powerplay.

His first victim was debutant Danish Malewar (2). The Vidarbha batter, aiming to make a mark in his maiden IPL outing, was trapped in front by the Proteas pacer in the second over of the match.

Then came the big wicket of last game’s centurion Quinton de Kock in the fourth over. Rabada dismissed his South African compatriot for 13, taking a simple caught and bold chance after the batter top-edged a short delivery.

De Kock undone by Rabada’s extra pace

Fired up after two successful overs, Rabada steamed in his third and bowled with extreme pace, crossing the 150 kph mark twice. Suryakumar Yadav was the batter facing him, and for once in IPL 2026, looked in good touch in his first few balls, hitting a maximum and a four.

But Rabada had the last laugh. The South African quick bowled a 152.1 kph thunderbolt to demolish Surya’s stumps. The India T20I captain was beaten for pace and left the field after yet another failure.
