Government can make changes in GST
The central government may soon give great relief in GST. The government is considering changing the rates. There can be relief on such items that are usually used in homes with middle and lower income. Right now 12 percent GST is charged on them.
The government is considering that most of the goods kept in the list of 12 percent GST should either put 5 percent slab or end the 12 percent slab. Most of everyday used goods for common people fall in this category. According to sources, it can be decided in the next meeting of GST Council. This meeting can be held this month. A notice of 15 days has to be given for the meeting.
