GST Collection Growth: According to the government data released on Friday, India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection increased to Rs 1.96 lakh crore in July, which is 7.5 percent more than the same period last year.
This increase occurred due to an increase in revenue derived from both domestic transactions and imports, which reflects stable economic activity, although the pace of development remained slower than recent months.
Between April and July this year, gross GST revenue was Rs 8.18 lakh crore – which shows an increase of 10.7 percent from Rs 7.39 lakh crore in the same period of 2024.
