New Delhi: Greaves Electric Mobility has further enhanced its electric two-wheeler range by introducing a new electric two-wheeler, the Magnus Neo, under its Ampere brand. On April 24, 2026, the company launched the modified scooter, making it a more convenient and adaptable choice to commute every day in India. The new model is aimed at less weight-build, better ergonomics, and comfort of the ride.
The Magnus Neo has been modelled to suit urban riders who are interested in having an easy time handling and reliability. With a refined structure and smoother performance, the scooter aims to make electric mobility more accessible for daily users. This new model is the continuation of the tradition of Ampere to create practical and family-friendly EVs.
Ampere Magnus Neo comfort and rideability
The new Magnus Neo has ergonomic upgrades which enhance the rider’s posture and comfort. It has a smaller seat height of 777 mm and less kerb weight of 103 kg. These are the changes that make it easier to manage, particularly in the traffic within the city. The lightweight construction also enhances manoeuvrability, and the rear tyre is 10 inches to provide greater balance and control.
Comfort and ease of riding are still core values of the products of Greaves Electric Mobility, as stated by Vikas Singh, Managing Director of the company. According to him, the Magnus Neo is a family scooter which is fitted to the requirements of the Indian roads and the daily commuting needs.
Ampere Magnus Neo performance and handling
The scooter features a new motor and wheel layout. This configuration provides a smoother acceleration and more stable handling in different road conditions. The company has been working towards developing a balanced ride that is comfortable and sure even in stop-and-go traffic.
The Magnus Neo still features a dual-frame chassis and tuned braking system. These characteristics add to a stable ride, which strengthens its role as a reliable urban mobility solution.
Ampere Magnus Neo battery
Magnus Neo operates on the basis of the latest LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology. The battery is also made to be capable of providing up to twice the lifecycle of the conventional options and has a lifespan of up to 10 years. It has also been tested at both extreme temperatures of -40°C to 60°C, thus making it durable in the various climates in India.
The platform has already earned performance recognition. It has set a national record for the longest distance covered by a City-Speed Family Electric Scooter that travelled a distance of more than 2,300 km between Bengaluru and Delhi.
Ampere Magnus Neo pricing and availability
The new Ampere Magnus Neo costs Rs 86,999 and above. It comes in four colour choices: Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Ocean Blue, and Matcha Green.
